A collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy

My approach is guided by collaboration, curiosity, warmth and humor. I practice from a feminist, trauma-informed, social justice framework, and I firmly believe that we make room for healing and change through self-compassion. I support individuals struggling with disordered eating, anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions and identity. My areas of specialty include maternal and reproductive mental health as well as disordered eating and embodiment difficulties. To learn more about my availability, please contact me directly or reach out to Kip.

maternal & reproductive mental health

The spectrum of reproductive experiences can stir up our past and highlight areas within ourselves that might need more attention. Having supported over 100 families in birth as a labor doula, I am attuned to the unique challenges that can emerge throughout the perinatal period. I support folks struggling with anxiety, birth trauma, parental guilt, grief and loss, disordered eating, and the transition into parenthood. In addition to my work as a birth and postpartum doula, I have trained with The Seleni Institute and Postpartum Support International. I am also a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC).

eating & body difficulties

Working from an anti-diet, Body Trust, Health At Every Size framework, I also support folks healing from disordered eating and body shame. Through curiosity and compassion, we will explore your body story and work towards externalizing the forces that teach us our bodies are problems to be fixed. Together we will work towards cultivating a relationship with food and body that is internally guided by pleasure and connection. Re-learning to trust your body is not a linear process and my goal is to be a support as you navigate your needs on the path towards body liberation.
