Online therapist in New York, Connecticut, & New Jersey
A compassionate, nonjudgmental space for perinatal mental health, disordered eating, body image, and anxiety — virtual therapy in NY, CT, and NJ.
A therapy space that meets you where you are
I believe healing happens through curiosity and compassion — not judgment. If you're struggling with anxiety, body shame, disordered eating, or the emotional weight of the perinatal journey, this is a space where all parts of you are welcome.
I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, self-compassion practices, and a relational, feminist framework to help you understand yourself more deeply. The goal isn't to fix you. It's to help you meet the harder parts of yourself with curiosity, so navigating the rocky moments feels a little more manageable, and you can build a kinder relationship with yourself.
Areas I work with
Perinatal & Reproductive Mental Health
The transition into parenthood, or navigating the path toward it, can bring up a lot. I support individuals through the full spectrum of reproductive experiences, from pregnancy and birth to feeding challenges, grief, and identity shifts.
Disordered Eating & Body Image
Working from a Body Trust and Health at Every Size framework, I help people heal their relationship with food and their bodies. We'll honor your body and its story together — and work toward feeling more trusting, intuitive, and at home in yourself.
Anxiety, Depression & Life Transitions
Chronic anxiety or depression can quietly take over your life. Other times, a life transition leaves you feeling unsteady and unsure of who you are. Together, we can get curious about what's underneath your experiences and work towards more peace.
Working with an online therapist
Virtual therapy lets you access support from wherever feels most comfortable or convenient. I offer online sessions to individuals across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Each session is 45 minutes and held via Zoom.
Meet your therapist
Hi, I'm Sarah Lewin — a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified provider (PMH-C) based in New York City.
Before becoming a therapist in 2018, I spent six years as a labor doula, supporting over 100 families through birth in NYC. That experience shapes how I show up with clients — attuned, present, and deeply familiar with the ways life can bring to the surface parts of ourselves that need more attention.
My work is rooted in Health at Every Size, intuitive eating, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and is informed by feminist and relational frameworks.
I'm licensed in New York and Connecticut and work with clients virtually to help them find more ease with the parts of themselves that have felt hardest to accept.

I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. All sessions are self-pay, however I offer limited sliding-scale spots for those who need financial flexibility. I can also provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your insurance.

This depends on you and your goals. Some people come for a focused period of a few months, while others continue longer as they work through deeper patterns. We can decide what feels right together.

The first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is a chance for you to ask questions, share what's bringing you to therapy, and get a sense of whether we'd be a good fit. From there, you can decide if we should move forward and schedule your first session to dig deeper into your goals and what you’re hoping to work on.
