Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY, CT, & NJ
Hi, I’m Sarah. I work with adults navigating some of life's more challenging moments — from the perinatal journey and disordered eating to anxiety, grief, and life transitions. If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.
My approach to therapy
My work is rooted in the belief that your symptoms, whether anxiety, body shame, or disconnections, aren't problems to be fixed. They're parts of you that deserve curiosity and compassion.
I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and self-compassion practices, alongside a relational and feminist framework. Together, we'll slow things down, get curious about what's underneath, and work toward a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I work from a Health at Every Size and Body Trust framework, which means my space is weight-inclusive. All bodies are welcome here.
Sessions are collaborative, and my goal is for you to feel at ease and seen after our time together. I want you to feel at ease and seen after our time together.
My background
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent six years as a labor doula in New York City, supporting over 100 families in birth and post-partum. That work gave me a deep understanding of the perinatal period — the joy and the challenges, which can include grief, identity shifts, and everything in between.
I hold a Master’s of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies from Kenyon College. My academic work and training led me to my feminist, social justice-informed approach to psychotherapeutic support..
I’ve also published articles about weight stigma and reproductive health, and I facilitate workshops on weight-inclusive care.

Working with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and self-compassion practices. My work is informed by Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and a relational, feminist framework. In practice, this means our work is collaborative and experiential. We're not just talking about your experiences; we're exploring them together with curiosity, compassion, warmth, and, at times, humor.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, body shame, and life transitions; and I bring my background in perinatal and reproductive mental health to many of my clients’ experiences. But, in the end, my practice invites anyone who is drawn to an approach that is compassionate and curiosity driven.

Yes, I'm currently welcoming new clients for virtual therapy. How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is always a personal choice. I tend to be a good fit for people who are curious about themselves and their behaviors, and those open to exploring their inner world. I provide a warm, collaborative space for this dynamic to unfold. If you're not sure about whether I’d be a good fit, I welcome a free consultation call where you can ask any questions and get a feel for me and my approach.
